Extreme Redesign 2019 Winners

New England Students: The future of 3D printing is in your hands!

AET Labs, Stratasys & GrabCAD are very pleased to present the 6th Annual New England Extreme Redesign 3D Printing Challenge. This coveted competition invites middle and high school students to invent, innovate or improve something by re-engineering it to be printed in 3D for a chance to win a MakerBot 3D printer, cash and other cool prizes, and serious bragging rights for your school!

This is a quest to find the most creative, mechanically sound and realistically achievable design using additive manufacturing. Students are encouraged to consider different 3D printing methodologies and materials available and pick the best method for the production of their design. We’re looking for sound designs that consider the tolerance and layer thickness capabilities of the 3D printer you’ll use and includes calculations and documentation of design decisions related to those capabilities.

Your entry should include a compelling description (written and/or video) illustrating design creativity and usefulness – i.e. does your design solve a problem or innovate on a current solution to make it better in some way?

Ready to get started? Read on and register below.
