AET Labs attended the MAVA Connecting for Success Conference on June 25 to 26. Our table displayed our latest technology offerings and we hosted a session:
Wired for Success: Unpacking EV Components, Systems, and Safety
In this hands-on learning session, automotive educators gained a comprehensive overview of electric vehicle (EV) components and configuration. From batteries and motors to charging systems and controllers, participants learned how EVs differ from traditional vehicles and learned tips to effectively teach this content to students. Additionally, the session covered safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) specifically for working on EVs. Educators learned the importance of proper tooling and procedures to mitigate risks associated with EV maintenance and repair. By the end of the session, attendees had the knowledge and resources to begin incorporating EV curriculum and equipment into their classrooms and shops, preparing their students for the future of automotive technology.
