Recording: Multicolor Printing with the Stratasys J55

Description

Get a hands-on look at preparing CAD assemblies for multicolor 3D printing using the Stratasys J55 3D printer. With accuracy and resolution of 0.014mm, the J55 can produce mechanically functional prototypes with brilliant realism. We explore how to prepare and edit models in KeyShot (3D rendering software) during the demo, learn how to use bump maps and displacement to alter texture patterns and the actual geometry of a model, and talk a bit about the J55's ability to produce transparent parts.

Tom Lutz, an instructor at MIT's Center for Bits and Atoms, also shares his experience with the J55 and some impressive objects he has printed!
