We're here to share some summer programs for teachers of technical education classes in New England. For some teachers, the summer is a time to learn new skills and prepare for the next school year. From online to in-person across multiple topics, read on for some summer workshops for teachers that you can explore.

3D Printing

Stratasys Academy

Format: Online

Cost: Free

Stratasys Academy polyjet training courses

Explore curated learning paths to start or deepen your knowledge of additive technologies and Stratasys printers. Take online at your own pace. Topics include an introduction to 3D printing, machine operations, design for additive manufacturing, and post-processing parts.

Laser Cutting

Laser Cutter Projects for the Classroom

Format: In-Person at Blackstone Valley Education Hub in Whitinsville, MA

Date: August 2, 3, or 4

Cost: Free

Learn tips for using Autodesk Fusion 360 for laser cutter projects and get hands-on experience working with an Epilog Laser Cutter, hosted by AET Labs. This workshop series takes place over three days. Attend every day or one or two days.

Robotics

Universal Robots e-Learning

Format: Online

Cost: Free

Universal Robots core training modules

Take interactive e-Learning modules for the Universal Robots CB3 robots and the e-Series. The e-Series Core Track teaches all essential concepts, terminology, and programming commands needed to operate a UR robot. The 8 modules are a step-by-step simulation of setting up and programming a complete pick-and-place application.

Industry 4.0

NC3 Festo Fundamentals of Robotics Training

Format: Online

Date: August 15 and 17 (2-day training)

Cost: $195

Join a live, virtual Fundamentals of Robotics certification training via Zoom. NC3 will deliver high-quality training, and by passing all class exams, labs, and other requirements attendees will become NC3 certified instructors. Please see registration for information about requirements to attend.

NC3 Festo Introduction to Mechatronics Training

Format: Online

Date: August 15, 17, 18, 22, 24, 25 (6-day training)

Cost: $395

Join a live, virtual Introduction to Mechatronics certification training via Zoom. NC3 will deliver high-quality training, and by passing all class exams, labs, and other requirements attendees will become NC3 certified instructors. Festo LX

Festo LX hardware course modules

Explore the Festo LX learning platform to learn Industry 4.0 skills and see how you can use it to teach your students. Receive ready-to-use, modular learning content for a wide range of topics, standalone and hardware-related, depending on your equipment.
