In absorbing the events that are unfolding worldwide we all can feel helpless, waiting as government and healthcare mobilize to help battle Covid-19. It’s a lot to unpack. In times of stress it is helpful to focus on what we can do. We at AET Labs are committed to support our local community in the small ways in which we can contribute right now.
1) We’re committed to #Stay Home as a team as much as possible in cooperation with state mandates and solidarity with healthcare providers. Let’s all flatten the curve to take the pressure off the heroes battling this in our nations hospitals.
2) We aim to support efforts of partners like Stratasys and GrabCAD as they coordinate initiatives to assist the medical community through innovation. We are excited to join in the effort to print and assemble 3D printed face shields, designed by Stratasys. We are coordinating our efforts to get local schools with Stratasys machines up and running to produce face shields for our local healthcare heroes. If you are an educator or manufacturer interested in helping please contact us for details! Thank you to our own Senior Education Strategist Mark Lyons for all his work in this effort! If you would like to donate to the cause and help schools purchase filament and materials to keep the effort going you can contribute to a GoFundMe that has been set up.

We are also helping spread the word about the CoVent Challenge hosted by Boston-based anesthesia residents, a global challenge to find ventilation solutions for the COVID-19 pandemic. This completely virtual open moonshot competition hosted on GrabCAD is a mobilized effort to develop a rapidly deployable mechanical ventilation solution.
