On July 16th & 17th instructors from across New England traveled to Marlborough High School in Marlborough, MA to take part in our inaugural 2-day CNC Furniture-Making Bootcamp Workshop.
Using cloud-based Fusion 360 software the group designed custom stools for fabrication, prepared them using Fusion 360 software to be milled and then made the parts on the mighty workhorse Techno HD CNC router!
Topics covered included:
- CNC joinery
- Design testing
- CAM toolpath strategies
- Material hold down techniques
- Part finishing
A heartfelt thanks to our friends from Western New England University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical School, Carroll School, Burlington High School, VT, Wareham High School, Brookline High School, Natick High School, Uxbridge High School and, of course, to our gracious hosts at Marlborough High School for making this workshop so successful.
Check out the event highlights and watch for more digital fabrication workshops on the horizon.
