Remake your world and win $2500 Every year, we call upon tomorrow’s engineers, artists and entrepreneurs to design a better future. We’re accepting entries for the 2017 Extreme Redesign Challenge now through March 9, 2017.
The Challenge-
Redesign an existing product to improve how a task is accomplished, or design something entirely new that addresses an unmet need.
Send us your best design as an STL file, and tell us why the world needs it. Winning entries will be creative, mechanically sound and realistically achievable. The best part? Every student who enters will receive a free Extreme Redesign T-shirt!
3D printed model
Ten finalists in each category will receive a 3D printed model of their design and a Stratasys apparel item valued up to $50.
$1,000 scholarship
In addition to the perks of being a finalist, one second-place winner in each category will receive a $1000 scholarship.
$2,500 scholarship
One first-place winner in each category will receive a $2500 scholarship and all the perks of being a finalist. Plus, his/her instructor will receive a demo 3D printer for limited-time classroom use.
$1,000 NCATC scholarship
The National Coalition of Advanced Technology Centers (NCATC) will award a $1,000 scholarship to one winning entry in the engineering category. Post-secondary students from NCATC member schools will be eligible for this bonus prize.

You’ll need a GrabCAD account to enter, so students under 18 years of age need to ask a parent, guardian or instructor to submit entries on their behalf. - This category is open to students worldwide at any grade level.
