Extreme Redesign 2019 Is On!

Update 1/25/2019: New England Students! Competing in this year’s Extreme Redesign worldwide competition or looking to compete on a local level? Registration is now open for Extreme Redesign New England: Click here for details!

It’s that time of year again! Our friends at Stratasys and GradCAD are pleased to announce Extreme Redesign 2019, a global quest that challenges innovative students to use 3D printing to redesign and improve an existing product or design an entirely new one that addresses an unmet demand. This is a great opportunity to integrate 3D printing into your curriculum and enhance your STEM program!

We’re looking for the innovators of tomorrow to create an original piece of art, jewelry or architecture with 3D printing – or make an existing design even better.

This year, Extreme Redesign features 3 categories:

Don’t have access to a 3D printer? No problem! To enter, individual students or teams must create and submit their designs files in STL format with a compelling description highlighting the design’s inspiration, meaning and impact. The more info the better – images, renderings, videos and screen shots of the design are encouraged!

Entries will be accepted through February 24, 2019, but the earlier you submit, the more opportunity you have to get feedback on your design and have a chance to improve it and re-upload improved files before the submission window closes.

AET Labs is delighted to once again be hosting our regional Extreme Redesign New England Semi-Finals at WPI next spring – stay tuned for dates and details and click here for a look back at last year’s exciting competition and winners from Dig it. Fab it. Make it. 2018!
